If your like me and run a Facebook fan page, you might want to comment or like post as yourself, using your personal account so your friends can see the comments. There are a few steps to follow to set your account to personal while your on your fan page.
Step 1: While logged in and on your business fan page, click the “Edit” button.
Step 2: Click the “Your Settings” link and un-check the box that says “Always Comment and Post on your page as …”
Your going to have to remember that now you are in a manual mode so to speak. You have to manually select who your posting as on your Facebook fan page.
So now head back over to your Facebook fan page and take a look at step 3.
Step 3: While on your Facebook fan page, click the “Account” link at the top which should drop down a menu. In the menu click “Switch back to …”. You are now using your business Facebook page as your personal account.
You can also use these same steps to post to fan pages as other fan pages, if you manage multiple fan pages. Hope this helps.

Even with this unticked I am still not able to post as myself. Is it a bug? I think I did have it ticked at one point. Also is it possible the page type makes a difference with this?

hello! Can anyone say, if the method has changed? I used to do that this way but the settings has changed at least on my facebook.
Yes, it changed and this setting is outside the logic of the other settings:
Step 1: While logged in and on your business fan page, click the “Edit” button.
Step 2: Click the “Modify page” link and choose “Use Facebook as 'your name'"
Step 3: On the top of the screen, just below the Facebook logo, appears an option where you can define if you want to respond with personal profile or fanpage profile.
(i translated the options from Facebook with Dutch settings so minor differences are possible)
Cheers, Jeroen
Hoi Jeroen.
Alvast heel erg bedankt.
Hallo Giorgio,
Groet,
Giorgio
